HH Amir reiterates Qatar’s stance on Palestine

DOHA: HH Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani during a telephone call with President of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas has stressed that reducing escalation of violence and restoring peace in Palestine will be top priorities for Qatar. 

HH reiterated Qatar's steadfast stance on the Palestinian issue and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, particularly their right to establish an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with the two-state solution. 

HH Sheikh Tamim also maintained that Qatar condemns all Israeli violations against the Palestinian people, their lands, and holy sites. 

He also told Mr Mahmoud that Qatar is making all diplomatic efforts with various concerned parties to safeguard the lives of civilians and protect them from the consequences of conflict.

The Palestinian President thanked HH Amir for the latter's unwavering support for Palestine and its people. 

Meanwhile, five more Palestinians were martyred Tuesday following the Israeli occupation warplanes bombed a house in Bani Suhaila, east of Khan Yunis, south of Gaza Strip while in northern Gaza Strip, warplanes targeted locations near the Beit Hanoun crossing. 

According to the medical sources, an infant and a woman, and two others in Al Atatra area in Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip died.
